Payment Methods

Manage how you pay for your subscription. Add cards, update billing info, and handle payment issues.

Accepted Payment Methods

Credit/Debit Cards

We accept:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • American Express
  • Discover

Other Methods

Available for some plans:

  • ACH bank transfer (Business+)
  • Wire transfer (Enterprise)
  • Purchase orders (Enterprise)

Adding a Payment Method

Add New Card

  1. Go to Settings > Billing
  2. Click Payment Methods
  3. Click Add Card
  4. Enter card details
  5. Save

Required Information

  • Card number
  • Expiration date
  • CVV/CVC
  • Billing name
  • Billing address

Verification

Card is verified with:

  • Small authorization hold
  • Released immediately
  • No actual charge

Managing Cards

View Cards

See all cards at Settings > Billing > Payment Methods:

  • Card type and last 4 digits
  • Expiration date
  • Default status

Set Default

Make a card the default:

  1. Find the card
  2. Click Set as Default
  3. Confirm

Default card is charged for:

  • Monthly/annual subscription
  • Additional purchases
  • Overages

Remove Card

Delete a card:

  1. Find the card
  2. Click Remove
  3. Confirm

Note: Cannot remove if it's the only card on a paid plan.

Updating Card Information

New Card Details

When card expires or changes:

  1. Add new card
  2. Set as default
  3. Remove old card

Address Changes

Update billing address:

  1. Go to Payment Methods
  2. Click card to edit
  3. Update address
  4. Save

Billing Information

Company Details

For invoices, set:

  • Company name
  • Tax ID (if applicable)
  • Billing email
  • Address

Updating Info

  1. Go to Settings > Billing
  2. Click Billing Information
  3. Edit details
  4. Save

Changes appear on future invoices.

Payment Failures

Why Payments Fail

Common reasons:

  • Expired card
  • Insufficient funds
  • Card declined
  • Incorrect details

What Happens

When payment fails:

  1. Email notification sent
  2. 7-day grace period
  3. Retry attempts made
  4. Account paused if unresolved

Fixing Failed Payments

  1. Check email for details
  2. Update payment method
  3. Or retry with same card
  4. Contact support if needed

How We Protect You

  • PCI DSS compliant
  • Cards encrypted
  • Never stored in full
  • Secure processing

What We Store

We only keep:

  • Last 4 digits
  • Expiration date
  • Card type
  • Billing address

Fraud Protection

  • 3D Secure supported
  • Suspicious activity alerts
  • Transaction monitoring

Receipts & Confirmations

Email Receipts

After each payment:

  • Email sent automatically
  • Contains transaction details
  • PDF attachment available

In-App Receipts

View in dashboard:

  1. Go to Settings > Billing
  2. Click Invoices
  3. View any receipt

Tax Information

Tax Exemption

If tax exempt:

  1. Go to Billing Information
  2. Click Tax Exempt
  3. Upload certificate
  4. Exemption applied

VAT/GST

For applicable regions:

  • Enter tax ID
  • Applied to invoices
  • May affect pricing

Currency

Default Currency

  • USD for all plans
  • Converted at checkout
  • Bank may add fees

Multi-Currency

Enterprise customers can request:

  • EUR pricing
  • GBP pricing
  • Other currencies

Troubleshooting

Card Declined

Try:

  • Different card
  • Contact bank
  • Check card limits
  • Verify details correct

Payment Not Processing

  • Clear browser cache
  • Try different browser
  • Disable ad blockers
  • Contact support

Wrong Charge Amount

  • Check plan details
  • Review prorations
  • Check for add-ons
  • Contact support for clarification
